I have found I really like wine infused teas. I have mostly tasted white teas that have been infused with wine. I think this is my first black tea that has been infused with wine, tho…and I like it very much!
The flavor is fresh and vibrant. The citrus is the most prominent taste of the cup, and it is sweet and refreshing. The lemongrass and lemon myrtle in the blend gives it just a light lemon-y note, bringing a certain tartness to the tongue in the finish.
Recently I have been fortunate enough to try a few of teas from Life In Teacup and they are lovely! Taiwan Cui Yu Green Jade High Mountain Oolong From Life In Teacup surely follows suit!
I guess that is always what I’m looking for – an outstanding Darjeeling tea … this Darjeeling is outstanding!
I can taste the ice wine comparison. There is a pear taste as well and a caramel finish on it. It’s VERY sweet just like the ice wine! I am looking forward to trying this iced but I will say it is wonderful hot!
