It is hot and humid and hasn’t been a very fun day. Harrumph. I looked to my samples stash to find something light to cheer me up. Bubblegum sounded perfect!
This is a green tea with long, lightweight leaves and my second teaspoonful had a REAL GUMBALL in it! Be sure you scoop enough leaf for this one or go by weight instead of spoonfuls, leaving the gumball off the scale!
The instructions says to use water “just under boiling” but I went with my usual green tea temp and used 175F water for three minutes. Of course when I retrieved the infuser basket from the pot, I had to check to see what happened to the gumball! The color and hard coating were gone and a smaller sticky globe was there. Perhaps hotter water would have melted it entirely.
I drank a cup of this hot, and it was good, fruity, but not really screaming GUMBALL at me. It was just a pleasantly fruity green tea with a very light sour or brisk edge barely there. I didn’t add anything to it.
I put the rest of the tea in the fridge to chill for supper. I think I like it even better this way. The edge I tasted when it was hot is gone, and I am left with a light, refreshing, fruity green tea. I have enough leaf left for one more pot, and I will go unsweetened iced tea all the way with the balance of it.

BeauTea Bomb/Blend Bee
Up until recently, I’ve been a fairly skeptical green tea drinker. So many of the greens I’d tried before were super grassy or a little bitter. But as I’ve been reviewing here at our beloved SororiTea Sisters, and getting to try more green tea samples and expand my palate over the years, I’ve come to learn that– whoa. I actually DO like green tea, you guys.
This particular blend from one of my top-five favorite tea companies does my green collection justice and more. It’s light and slightly vegetal, but also robust and fruity from the rose hips, hibiscus, and fruity extracts. As always, I adore how Jamah at Blend Bee combines incredible, medicinal herbs with teas and add-ins to make a blend that’s not just tasty, but healthy, to boot. I’ve been finding myself obsessed with this one iced, and have been sipping cup after cup straight from my fridge. Even my husband, a skeptical fruity-tea drinker, found this one the perfect balance of fruit and sweet with herbs and tea.

Sencha Sensation from T2 Tea
Sencha Sensation from T2 Tea is a flavored green tea blend with added flower petals. Since this is a green tea, remember to keep your water temperature cooler than normal to bring out the best flavors.
When brewed, this blend smells buttery and tropical. These flavors continue into the taste with passionfruit and citrus flavors complementing the lush and fresh green tea base. The tea is sugary from the fruitiness without being candy-like, and the end of each sip features more of the natural celery or sweetgrass flavors of the green tea leaves.
I drank this blend warm on a rainy day for an afternoon pick-me-up and the fruity and floral flavors helped sweeten my mood. This would also be a great tea to cold brew. The cooler temperature would suit the green tea and the tropical flavors always taste better over ice.

Plum Pear Green from the Pekoe Sip House
I couldn’t resist giving Plum Pear Green tea a try from the Pekoe Sip House. It’s nice to see a tea featuring these fruits. I feel as though both plum and pear don’t get enough love in the fruit-flavored options of the world. There’s plenty of peach and strawberry teas and candies, but not so many for plum or pear.
This tea did not disappoint, and even the dry leaf was fragrant with mellow plum fruit flavors. The stone-fruit taste of plum and apricot reminded me of some of my favorite oolong teas, with their trademark smooth earthy and fruity tones. The pear comes forward with the green tea taste, both a bit nutty and grassy at the same time.
This tea is best brewed while following the instructions, with cooler water and a two minute steep time. To further bring out the fruit’s nature sweetness, consider adding a touch of honey to you mug. Or give this tea a try as a cold brew and mix in a few fresh pear slices to dress it up.
This blend is juicy and fruity, against a savory green tea backdrop. There’s a lovely buttery mouthfeel and the crisp-sweet note of pear on the aftertaste. The blend isn’t too candy-like or over-flavored, but it’s also not too boring. The plum and pear are nicely balanced in the overall palette of the tea and make for a very comforting, drinkable cup.

Sparkles in My Cuppa! Spritz of Glitz from Tea & Tins. . . .
Sparkly tea!!! I love teas that sparkle. It’s not like the sparkles do anything flavorwise but I am a sucker for them anyways. They just bring a touch of fun to the whole experience. In fact, DAVIDsTEA’s Glitter & Gold, the first tea I tried with sparkles, happens to be the first tea that truly captured my heart (because I liked the flavor, though the glitter didn’t hurt).
This tea is a light, fruity delight. It’s like a liquid orchard with definite stone fruit flavors. Sweet and smooth. I think I get more peach than I do pear but the fruitiness of this tea is quite nice, and certainly summery in its vibe. The base is also contributing a slight vegetal note which is actually complimenting the fruity flavors.
I could see this being quite a nice tea pop actually. The soft stone fruit might really pop when carbonated. I could see it being reminiscent of a cider. Though the sparkles might be part of the reason I have this idea since they remind me of little carbonation bubbles.
Flavor wise this is subtle and if you are looking for a strong flavor, you won’t find it here. However, the flavor it does have is just the right amount of fruity. Plus, who could say no to more sparkle in their life?
