Caribbean Holiday from Souvia

Tea Type: Herbal (Fruit) Tisane

Where To Buy: Souvia

Product Description:

Apple Bits, Raisins, Carrot and beet root pieces, candied pineapple, candied papaya, flavoring, bamboo leaves, lemon granules

Tasters Review:

Everyone needs a Caribbean Holiday from time-to-time and after the winter we had in the eastern snowbelt of the U.S. this tisane was perfect timing when I first started sipping on it – the end of March!

This is another new release from Souvia!

Normally I don’t usually like fruity herbally tisanes because they are too sweet or fruity or tart or full of hibiscus BUT…this is nice!

This is a TREAT!  It tastes like liquid candy!   This doesn’t have hibiscus in it! YAY!

The purple/red you may see is beet root.  Sure…it’s tarty and fruity but the sugary and candied fruits help counteract that.  I’m think this would be best iced but it’s pretty tasty hot today, too!

Yup! The key is the candied and granulates ingredients! And I’m not going to lie…I grabbed one of the lemon granulates and gnawed on it while the rest infused!

If you are looking for a fruity tisane without hibiscus…this is a WINNER!  If you are looking for a quick escape from daily hustle-bustle…give this a whirl…it brings that HAPPY PLACE to YOU!

Happy Holidays from SororiTEA Sisters!  You will hear that a lot from us thru out this month as we continue to feature seasonal and holiday teas as well as new releases from many tea companies!

This Holiday Delight from Souvia sure does live up to it’s name!

It’s Orange Spice…But TRUE Orange Spice!   There is a little bit of the juicy-goodness from the orange but it’s more orange zest than juice if you know what I mean!

I usually like my teas STRONG so I tend to add more loose leaf to my infusion right off the bat.  And that’s what I did with this but I think I am going to try it again with the normal amount because it is VERY strong and I am thinking it will be JUST RIGHT for me with the normal amount instead of the up to double amount I usually use.

The peppercorns really come thru on this.  It smells awesome and it’s very potent in both aroma and taste!

I did enjoy my “double shot” of this but I wanted to mention it isn’t needed to go over board with this loose leaf…a little goes a long way!

Another great tea from our friends at Souvia!

Tasters Review:

Gingerbread House Tea from Souvia couldn’t smell more like an actual Gingerbread House!  The taste is so flavorful and complex and jam-packed with ingredients it’s hard not to comment on it or write an entire review!  It’s teas and tisane’s like this that make it fun to have a tea review blog!

This is incredibly sweet and very sugary!   The candied pineapple, mango, and papaya are going NUTS even more than the actual NUTS!  Their are HONKin’ HUGE Walnut halves in there!  (And YES…”Honkin’ Huge” is an official measurement!  At least in my book it is!)  And there are good sized chunks of the other nuts too!   The Coconut chips are fun and are about the same flavor level as the nuts.   The Rooibos takes a back seat to everything else that is going on here and that is ok with me!

I’ve said it before and I will say it again…I love interesting teas/tisanes and this is certainly one of them!  Whether you like it or not – at least it’s interesting! Eventho this is intensely sweet and sugary without even adding sugar to it – I like it!  The aftertaste is a little funky but I can get past that. Thumbs up for creativity!  This is a FUN Tisane!  Not to mention memorable and something you will surely talk about this holiday season!

Tasters Review:

Grey Duchess from Souvia is a more mild Earl Grey.  It has satisfying yet toned-down Earl Grey Flavor with a wonderful dash of vanilla.

It has an almost pine-like after taste which I think is very interesting and pleasing.  I can taste all of the ingredients and they are all pretty good!

This is the first tea I have had from Souvia and I must say I am happy my first cup was a success!
