Taster’s Review:

Being a huge green tea fan, I thought for sure I would not love this tea.  To be honest, I thought my tea snob would come out and say No- I will not like you.  You are a tea bag.  Mind you, I have been drinking tea bags from Paper Box Goodies all week but I still had that feeling.

Yep, my inner snob was shut up right quickly with one sip of this tea.  I am surprised how good this is.  Clean and refreshing green tea.  No fuss.  No mess.  Just a solid smooth almost sweet green tea with a hint of vegetal going on here and there.

I prepped this tea up using just the water spout on our coffee maker at work and VIOLA! Green tea on the go and in a flash! This tea saved me in a meeting that I thought for sure I was going to fall asleep in.  This tea is a great every day kind of tea.  One that I could drink all day every day!

Nicely done Ringtons.  This is the first tea I’ve had from them and I can say it won’t be the last.  Tasty!

Taster’s Review:

I love teas with a convenience factor to them.  Prepping loose leaf tea is something I’m now used to and have worked that into my everyday.  But there are some days that I don’t have time to boil the water, steep the tea, and pour it into my travel mug.  Sometimes I just need to throw in some tea and go.  I don’t yet have a travel mug that would steep the tea as I take on my daily grind.  I need to look into getting one.  But until I do I have this gem.

This tea has a slightly smokey black base finish with sweet caramel and vanilla notes in each and every sip. There are slight notes of tobacco, but very slight. I actually am surprised this tea sachet can pack this much flavor.  I’ve had a few other offerings from Tozy Tea and this one ranks right up there with their Cherry Blossom, which I adore!

As this one cools, the flavors just continue to grow stronger.  I even tried making this into an iced tea and the results were very similar. The only difference is the caramel and vanilla notes were more pronounced.

I think overall I preferred this one brewed hot.  The tea gave me that warm and cozy feeling that a good tea will give you.  I instantly wanted to curl up with a book and this cuppa.  This particular tea sachet has such a simple yet delicious flavor.

Another winner from Tozy Tea!

Cold Brew Mango Green Tea from Culinary Teas

Tea Information:

Leaf Type:  Green

Where to Buy:  Culinary Teas

Tea Description:

Mango is a flavorful tropical fruit. The only improvement we could think of is to combine it with our rich Sencha. Fresh Sencha flavor and sweet Mango will bring a tropical summer treat to your tea time!

These large 5 gram teabags contain specially steamed and fired Sencha leaves which have been blended with a hint of Matcha. Specially processed to brew in cold water, just add a bag to a 20 oz bottle of water shake and you’re ready to go! They also have enough flavor to be infused up to 5 times so just keep refilling your bottle and one teabag will last you all day!

Taster’s Review:

I didn’t steep these according to the above suggested parameters – that is, I did not add a tea bag to a 20 oz. bottle of water and shake it to produce the tea.  What I did instead was to drop five of the teabags into my half gallon tea pitcher, add cold, filtered water, and refrigerate overnight.  Today, I am treated with a pitcher full of ice-cold, mango refreshment!

This tea is very flavorful!  Sweet and lots of delicious fruit flavor, I like that the mango is strong and distinct – no second guessing what I’m tasting here! – the fresh, slightly vegetative flavor of the Sencha comes through.

But what I like even more than the delicious flavors of mango and Sencha … is the Matcha!  It gives the tea a smooth creaminess, almost a buttery quality that marries with the mango flavor so well.

This is so refreshing and it has a restorative, energizing quality to it too, making it a perfect to-go beverage for to enjoy after a hike or run.  Summer is coming, and this is a tea you’ll want to have on hand – it’s easy to brew and so tasty too!
