Although the holiday season has (sadly) passed, this tea still caught my eye. Mostly because it included mini marshmallows and gold ball sprinkles. I am a sucker for anything that includes marshmallow. Upon inspection of the dry leaf, I could smell the caramel and marshmallow notes. The dry leaf itself was very pleasing to the eye, as it contained “Star of David” shaped sprinkles, gold balls, mini marshmallows, and caramel squares. I liked that it contained actual marshmallow and caramel pieces because I hoped that that would add extra flavor and creaminess to the cup. While I don’t mind when a tea just contains flavor, I think adding actual pieces of fruit or candy really pushes the flavor further and gives it an extra “something”.
I steeped this blend with near-boiling water for about 4 minutes. I also added a spoonful of agave, which is usual for me. Once steeped, the liquid smells just like the mini marshmallows that come with those hot cocoa packets. It is literally shimmering with gold sprinkles, which adds such a pretty and festive flair. The taste is very smooth and pleasing and I can clearly point out that this tea contained marshmallows. The caramel is in the background; but just as I had hoped, the caramel pieces added a sweet creaminess to the tea. I feel as if the agave really brought these flavors out and accented them well, so I would suggest sweetening the tea just a bit.
This tea was really easy to drink, and it was gone in minutes! It was very smooth, sweet, and festive. The flavor of the marshmallow lingers long after the cup is gone. I really cant help but liken it to those mini marshmallows in the hot cocoa packs, it really does taste exactly like them! The combination of marshmallow and caramel along with the black tea was delicious. I am glad to have stumbled across this company and cant wait to try more of their teas. I have a feeling this one wont last very long!

Stardust from Tea & Tins. . . . . .
This tea sparkles — both literally and figuratively.
The loose leaf has these cute little silver orbs that dissolve fairly well in the steep process. The resulting mid-brown tea has a glimmer effect. Looking into the tea is, indeed, a little bit like looking into space.
But, of course, a tea that’s all show and no go is a waste of glitter-balls. Luckily, this is a yummy vanilla-black with a little bit of extra spice thrown in. The vanilla plays center stage, and the hint of spices keeps the blend from going over-sweet.
If you were going to give this as a gift, I’d suggest going with one of the Tea&Tins’ tins.
I’ve chosen the robot because it’s science-fiction-y.
Though drinking tea in space isn’t, technically, science fiction any more. I found this article online about Chinese astronauts drinking pu’erh in space.
My poor eyesight, asthma, and weak stomach prevent me from being an astronaut, but this tea gets me pretty close.

Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot – Hot Mama from Tea and Tins
Cinnamon comes in two common forms when it comes to tea. There’s the natural, cinnamon-stick flavor, which is warm and spicy, and slightly floral, evoking the smell of baked-goods and breakfast.
And then there’s the cinnamon candy flavor, which is hot, hot, hot like flaming Fireball candies or like red cinnamon chewing gum. I like both kinds of cinnamon, natural and artificial, but I always find it helpful to know which kind of cinnamon I’m getting into before I take a sip.
Expecting one and tasting the other is not always a pleasant experience.
Let it be known: Hot Mama from Tea and Tins tastes like blazing cinnamon candy! Even double-sealed behind zip bags, I can smell the cinnamon in this tea buzzing into my nose when I walk by my tea shelf.
In the dry leaf or brewed, this tea tastes like Hot Tamale candies, warm in temperature and in sensation. As a fan of Hot Tamale and Fireball candies, I enjoy the saturated, artificial cinnamon taste of this tea and it feels marvelous down my dry throat on a cold winter day.
This is a perfect tea when you need something fierce and fiery. The cinnamon in this blend goes beyond the usual kick of chai spices. It’s so hot, it might rival some of the teas out there seasoned with hot chili spices.

Today I’m sharing with you…a Product Review: Red Hair Girl Walking a Dog on Orange Damask Tea Tin.
This is a fun and youthful tea tin with a French twist that is perfect for storing your loose leaf tea and/or just displaying in your kitchen, craft room, workplace, or to take with you on the go!
This tin can hold about 2 oz (60g) of a typical green tea, a little bit more of black tea and less for white tea. The Tea Tin Measurements are Height: 4” (102 mm). Diameter: 2.5” (62 mm).
As you can see the design is a light yellow-orange color Damask pattern with a Anime character walking her dog on the face of the tin. Whether the character is walking, jogging, running, skipping, or shuffling thru the Autumn Leaves that is up to you and your imagination.
I LOVED this tin and the design on it because I enjoy throw back trendy Anime characters similar to Sailor Moon. I also chose this as one of my favorite designs because of the reddish hair the girl has here. It reminds me of a shade of red I dyed my hair years ago! That – and you can’t go wrong with cute little puppies, eh!?
I will cherish this tea tins for years to come but will also show it off on my desk at work, too!

Yunnan Imperial from Tea and Tins
Hello Tea Friends!
Anyone who knows me is aware I adore Yunnan teas, that is why I jumped at the chance to review this one. I’m going to jump straight into the review so I c an get my ‘drink’ on.
Opening the packet reveals dark brown leaves that are long and thin with quite a few golden tips among them. The leaves appear to be good quality ie no discolouration or holes, and they were 3/4 in length for the most part so pretty full leaf with a few broken parts here and there.They have a slight smoky wood scent that is also dry.
Steeping Parameters: 1 tsp. Boiling Water. 3 minutes.
The resulting tea soup is mahogany in colour and bares a malt scent with a touch of smoke. Not as wooden nor dry as it’s raw state.
The first few sips reveal a rich, malt flavour that is sour and with a soft smoke aftertaste. Little astringency considering there is no milk nor sweetener. As it cools it becomes thicker and the smoke increases though remains in the aftertaste. Wonderful mouth feel as it cools a little more, filling my mouth with sour malt and smoke. Beautiful.
This had good flavours and was easy to drink, even without milk or sweetener. The ‘gulpability’ of this tea is a good! I recommend this for other Yunnan fans, or anyone looking for a good straight tea.

The very large portion of large, golden leaf tips gives the full sweet-spicy taste and malty, soft aftertaste to the Yunnan Imperial. The large leaf is dark, matt green and contains many bronze-colored tips, the infusion is heavy and dark.
