Green Tea Spearmint from Wissotzky Tea. . . .

Meals and mints seem to be a good pairing. Like when you leave a restaurant, they bring you mints with the bill. You can be stuffed to the point of no return but you almost always have room for the mints (unless you don’t like mints which is obviously a whole different thing). The same goes for mint teas as they provide a cooling freshness after a flavorful meal.

For me, today’s meal was a grilled cheese sandwich made with fresh challah (egg bread), jalapeno monterey jack cheese, and some special garlic spread that my sister and I picked up at the one of a kind show we recently attended. I know, I am such a gourmet :P. Even though it is not the fanciest meal in the world, it was still flavorful, particularly with the cheese and garlic spread coating the tongue.

That is where this tea comes in. With its sharp spearmint scent, I was sure it would be the palate cleanser I needed after my tasty meal. Though the spearmint is refreshing, it is almost dulled a bit by the green tea base. There is a slight bitterness coming from the green base and coupled with the brisk spearmint, it is making for an astringent brew. This is also a touch smokey which I did not expect, but also don’t mind.

I think in the future I will stick to my straight spearmint teas but ultimately this did do the trick and was an adequate enough after-meal mint tea.

Mint Twist Tea from The Tea Can Company

The Tea Can Company is a company that is fairly new-to-me and I have to say I am VERY pleased with all of their teas that I have been able to sample so far. Today I would like to share with you Mint Twist Tea from The Tea Can Company which is part of their Candy Shop Collection.

Mint Twist Tea from The Tea Can Company is a delightful mix of Green Tea and tasty Peppermint that can be enjoyed year-round and is perfect for any mint lover. Ingredients include Green Tea with Peppermint Leaves and Peppermint Flavor. I’m not sure how The Tea Can Company pulled this off but Mint Twist Tea tasted minty but almost creamy, too! If you LOVE mint like I do – or even HALF A MUCH as I do – I think you will totally DIG this tea!

The green tea is a medium strength sweeter green paired with minty-goodness. It is refreshing, clean, minty, a bit creamy, and a pure delight!

I’m wondering if they would be able to come out with a black tea version. I would love to see that. However I am really LOVING the green tea offering, too! This was also VERY NICE iced! YUM!

Butter Truffle from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co . . . . .

Butter Truffle from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co HAD ME at first sniff! It smells like cookies, or cake, or coffee cake, or something cakey and bakey…darn it…now I want something dessert-like. Since I don’t eat those often (or close to {n}ever) I will sip on Butter Truffle from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co, instead.

This flavored black tea is INCREDIBLY aromatic! It’s savory and spicy, too! The orange is juicy and I welcome it. The spices are done nicely and NOT overly done. The pistachios are what make it ‘buttery’ and even smooths out the end of the sip to finish a little creamy. Sure – this has nuts in it – but it doesn’t have dairy in it and for that I am grateful!

I don’t eat baked goods hardly ever because of the dairy and eggs in them and I am NOT a baker myself so when I crave something like that I tend to reach for a flavored tea that would fit the bill instead. Butter Truffle from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co is one of those teas! YUM!

Nichole and I try and share everything with our other sisters here at Sororitea Sisters and Butter Truffle from Kent & Sussex Tea & Coffee Co will be one of those teas that will be hard to pry from my hands! I will pass this one along – of course – but with a tear in my eye as I say goodbye!

Mediterranean Mint from Armeniac Teas

Mediterranean Mint. How could you go wrong with a name like that? Next up at Sororitea Sisters is Mediterranean Mint from Armeniac Teas.

Mediterranean Mint from Armeniac Teas contains Wild Thyme, Wild Mint, and Armenian Wild Oregano. The loose contents are extremely fluffy and plump and smell AMAZING right out of the bag! It’s a carefully crafted herbal blend that Armeniac says is the perfect finish to a Mediterranean meal and is an uplifting taste experience!

While I didn’t drink this after a meal I did drink Mediterranean Mint from Armeniac Teas after sipping on various other flavored teas and this was a wonderful palate cleanser.

Mediterranean Mint from Armeniac Teas is a calming mint most likely brought more to center by the thyme and oregano. The trio of ingredients complement each other perfectly and make a more-than-pleasant cuppa!

This was tasty hot, cool, and iced. According to the package this loose blend of herbs can be brewed and/or infused two times. YUM! I LOVE this minty-fresh experience!
