Spritz of Glitz from Tea and Tins. . .

What attracted me to this tea was the little silver candies. I’m sucker for sprinkles!

This was a very striking blend with the silver gleaming against the dark green tea leaves. While the name of the blend is ‘pear,’ the dry blend and wet leaves had more of a peach aroma to me. If you are familiar with Sour Peaches, it smelt like that!

However, when I went in to sip the liquor, I got a whiff of pear. There was a rich pear flavour from the liquor as well. Since the blend leaned towards sweet, it reminded me of pear candy instead of freshly picked pears. I kept getting a mixture of pear and peaches in my mouth.

This yellow liquor tea is for pear (and peach) lovers!

Just “Peachy” from AKA Tea. . . .

Summer is coming and it is almost time for juicy, ripe peaches! I am enjoying that flavor early today with this delightful honeybush blend from AKA Tea.

The website has a lovely recipe for making this as a sweetened iced tea and I can hardly wait to give that a try, but for today I am in need of tea FAST and it is overcast and gloomy outside. This is a great day to try this one hot!

And oh man, did it ever hit the spot! This tastes just like biting into a fresh peach that is still warm from the summer sun, and sends juice dribbling down your hand to your arm. No sugar needed to enjoy the fresh fruit flavor here. It was a real show stopper. It grabbed my attention and made me really savor the cup.

Since I am tired with lots more work to go laying sod, it was a real pick-me-up before I head back out. This summer, I can drink as much as I want, as late as I want, because this is honeybush! Hooray! And iced in the 95 degree heat we regularly experience? Yes, please!

Peach Crostata Yunnan Tea from A Quarter to Tea. . . .

I have never had a peach crostata. After having this tea, I sure would like to have some.

I have never had a peach crostata. After having this tea, I sure would like to have some.

I have had several peach teas and some are candy-like and some have a high, thin alcohol note from peach flavoring as it tries to mimic fresh peaches. This tea was all baked peaches and warmth, oven roasted deliciousness and heavenly scents. The tea had really nice body to go with the baked vibe, so you really know you are drinking TEA and good base at that.

The most surprising thing about this tea was that we re-steeped it for four minutes…and it was great. The color was still good and only slightly lighter than the first steep. The tea base still gave out lots of flavor and the peach was there, too. Then…another steep a good as the second. Then….how can it be? A fourth steep from that same original teaspoon of leaf came out just as tasty and still had lots of peach flavor. Even on steep four there was no doubt that we were drinking a peach tea. At no point did I taste really strong anise. Perhaps I didn’t get a piece in my infuser but I didn’t miss it, although I like anise and would not have objected to anise flavor being more prevalent.

Lots of teas re-steep pretty well, but usually the flavor either of the tea base or of the flavorings diminishes so much that the latter cups don’t have a huge resemblance to the first. The staying power of this tea was really impressive. Heck, I may even try for infusion number five!

Peach Crostata from A Quarter To Tea. . . .

What is a peach crostata? I feel like its some sort of pastry…so I googled it. I was right, its a pastry covered in sliced peaches. Yummy. I love peach anything and I also love anything that includes pie crust or pastry dough. But you know what I love even more? Teas that remind me of my favorite desserts, because they are virtually calorie free. Guilt free yumminess, how can you go wrong?

When I first checked out this sample bag I was immediately impressed because it included an anise star, which was cool because that is how the tea was advertised, with a star anise. So it was cool to get one in my sample bag, I just think they are so pretty. Once steeped I could smell the peach mingling with the sweet and light spices. Since this tea was created after a crostata, I was hoping for some sort of pastry or pie crust/bakery flavor. I definitely think that this tea was spot on! Its a little tough to explain, but after swallowing, the mouth feel is definitely pastry crust. The peach flavor is very light and so are the spices, but it works. The yunnan black tea is slightly strong. I steeped this for five minutes and I think that I would steep for 3 minutes. However, even through the over-steeping it was really good and true to it’s name.

All in all I really enjoyed this blend. I definitely recommend if you like peach, or even if you don’t- sometimes tastes can change! So, give it a try.

Peach Iced Green Tea from LeCharm. . . . . .

It’s rare if I purchase a bottled iced GREEN tea in a store. Usually because I find most of them have added and unnecessary ingredients in them and/or sweeteners. Many of you know that I drink my teas straight-up with nothing added. So when I try a tea that is something other than “unsweetened” it just tastes so ‘OFF’ to me.

When I saw this Peach ICED Green Tea product from LeCharm arrive I was a little nervous. I was assuming it would have those ‘things’ I dread in bottled and store bought teas. But you know what they say about ASSUMING things, right?

Plain and simple this product has a goal of providing you with a brewed iced tea taste in 3 seconds or less. All I did was mix with about 8 ounces of cold water. Altho you can mix with Hot/Cold/Iced Water and can try it with 6 to 10 ounces of water. They suggest you shake well if mixing with Cold/Iced water. And remind you mixing with less water if a stronger taste preferred.

I thought I would go middle of the road with this first attempt and I have to say I was blown away with how natural it tasted! It tasted like a medium-strong green tea with a little bit of peach in there! SUCCESS!

Ingredients include 100% natural Green tea and peach extract. That’s it! It’s Calorie Free, Residue Free, and Sugar Free! No Additives, artificial flavors, or preservatives. Just open the bag, pour in cold or hot water, and enjoy your tea.

How EASY is that? EASY…I tell ya! It’s super convenient and DARN TASTY, too!
