I love brewing up tea with fresh herbs from the garden or from the kitchen. With all the turkey and holiday meals in the wintertime, I feel like sage is an especially appropriate herb to be brewing this time of year, so I ordered a bag of Sage Wellness tea from Plum Deluxe.
This is a tea with a green rooibos base, which provides the perfect, gentle background for the other herbs and flavors. In the dry leaf, there are plenty of fuzzy, grey-green leaves from the sage, a pleasure to touch and smell. Rose petals and lemon peel add to the dreamy fragrance.
Beyond the rooibos and sage, this blend also features fruit pieces like strawberry and rosehips, and fruit flavoring from strawberries and peaches. The sage feels like Thanksgiving turkey and stuffing, but the strawberry feels like a summer harvest. With the two fragrant, flavorful factors of sage and strawberry, the whole blend is reminiscent of a fresh, blooming herb garden.
Not too sweet and not too savory, the fruit and herbs come together to make an atypical take on familiar flavors. With a blend so beautiful to look at and so tasty to brew, I like to pretend that I was wandering in a fantasy garden, plucking bits of sage and picking perfect strawberries to add to my perfect cup of tea.

Rocket Fuel from Adagio Teas. . . .
Among the many fandom blends Adagio has to offer, there are a few Adagio collections waiting to be found. One such collection is the Tree House Collection made up of Tea Rex, Monster Brew, and this tea, Rocket Fuel. All the teas come is silk tea satchets stored in colorful tins and all are caffeine free as the lot are meant to be child friendly in look, contents, and taste.
Rocket Fuel is blended with green rooibos tea, apple pieces, raspberry leaves, orange peels, blueberries, natural orange flavor, natural blueberry flavor, marigold flowers & blue cornflowers. I had enough to make this both hot and iced, each steeped for 3 minutes in 200F water.
I tried to start with the hot cup but tbh it was a bit too hot and I didn’t taste very much so this note, I will be starting with the iced tea to give the other time to cool. The main flavor of the iced tea is definitely apple. Apple and the rooibos base which is the very slightest bit woody. I even get the slightest touch of orange peel but not much. More than anything, this is an apple tea.
Hot, the rooibos base is much stronger. In fact, here it is the most prominent flavor, followed by orange peel. The apple comes in at the tailend of the sip to add some sweetness but is not nearly as strong as in the iced tea.
have had this previously, both hot and iced, and remember really enjoying it. The iced tea I remember having a great citrus flavor while the hot was full of berry flavor. However, that was over three years ago and it would see my tastes have changes as these two cups were disappointing and not at all what I remember.

If you were to judge me by my kitchen alone (which, wait– don’t look under the fridge. I’ve literally never cleaned down there. WHOOPS.), you’d probably call me a bit of a coconut fanatic. I never liked coconut flavors as a kiddo, but as I grew (and my food allergy list grew along with me), coconut began finding its way into my kitchen via any manner of ingredients– shredded, as flour, as milk, as a replacement for soy sauce (yup, that’s a thing that exists), as treats– and definitely in tea!
This blend from the Necessiteas claims to be a creamy, tropical treat, and it certainly lives up to the hype. A green rooibos base sets the stage for flavors of coconut, pineapple and vanilla to blend together seamlessly, and blend they do. I’ve so far been enjoying this one iced, where I end up getting more of the creamy + rooibos notes than I am the tropical one-two-punch of coconut and pineapple, but they are there– I think personally, I just wished that I could taste the tangy fruitiness more predominantly in balance with the creaminess of the base. That said, this tea is still delightful for a coconut-lover like myself, and makes a perfect warm-weather treat!

Limoncello from The NecessiTeas. . . .
Lemon is not my favorite flavor. I find that it is very overpowering and oftentimes all lemon teas end up tasting the same because of it. But when I read the description on the package of this Limoncello green rooibos blend by The NecessiTEAs, I was instantly interested. Lemon meringue mingled with vanilla and brown sugar…I mean, that sounds really good! So I put my opinions of lemon flavored teas aside and decided to try it out!
The smell of the loose leaf was definite lemon cream. It actually smelled like it would taste really good. I steeped this for about 7 minutes and added a little agave even though it probably didn’t quite need it. The taste was pretty spot on in relation to the smell of the dry leaf. Very creamy, which was in part due to lemongrass which tends to lend a creamy flavor to teas. The lemon and vanilla/brown sugar flavors were definitely reminiscent of a lemon meringue pie. I think the green rooibos was in the background and did not lend the usual woody flavor to the tea, which I was thankful for.
Overall this was a really nice dessert blend. I enjoyed this one much more than lemon teas I have tried in the past. So, whether you are a fan of lemon or not, this would be a fabulous blend to try out. Especially if you enjoy lemon meringue pie! Next time I probably would have skipped the agave, because it over-sweetened the cup just a bit. So make sure you try a sip before adding a sweetener. This is definitely a perfect after-dinner tea to enjoy.

Zesty Ginger Lime from Storehouse Teas. . .
Summer is pretty much exclusively iced tea season for me– and frankly, if it can’t be cold-brewed, it probably isn’t going to get much love in my tea cabinet during the warmer months.
So when this little unassuming gem showed up in my most recent sample stash, it wasn’t even a question that I’d be brewing it cold. The ginger and the lime immediately pop in the cold brew, with hints of lemongrass lingering behind.
This one lived up to its name (“zesty” indeed!) and was fantastic with a splash of lemonade stirred in right before sipping. It’s the perfect addition to my summer iced tea stash– and definitely one I’ll be sipping again soon!
