The tea brews to a pale yellow colour and produces sweet floral aroma and taste.

Taster’s Review:

Exquisite!

The emerald leaves are wound into tiny little pellets, and from their appearance, they look like many other Oolong teas that I’ve encountered.  But, once they’re steeped – Wow!  This is one amazing tea.

The aroma is incredible.  It has a sweet, milky scent with floral notes.  This scent shares a hint of what to expect when you taste the tea.

The sip starts out smooth and creamy.  A moment later a sweetness washes over the palate.  Floral notes come alive at this point.  The sip ends with a hint of butter flavor.  The finish is sweet with beautiful flowery notes that rest upon the palate in the aftertaste.  It is quite an experience.

And here’s the best part.  These beautiful pellets of flavor submit to many wonderful infusions.  More infusions means more tea for your money!

This tea is truly a delight.  I highly recommend it to all Oolong enthusiasts, especially those who adore milk Oolong teas.

Mao Feng Mountain Green Tea from In Nature

Product Description:

This tea brews to give a pale yellow-green colour with a characteristic aroma and rich flavour with a clean and refreshing aftertaste. Words are insufficient to describe its taste, the only way to truly know it is to taste it.

Taster’s Review:

After reading the above description from the In Nature website, I have to say that I completely agree.  Words ARE insufficient to describe the taste of this tea.  I am struggling as I type this to try to adequately describe what I am experiencing as I sip this tea. Definitely a challenge, this tea!

But I mean that in the best way imaginable.  This tea is truly sublime.  It brews to a beautiful pale green color that possesses a very faint vegetative aroma, offering only a hint of what is to come with the sip.

The flavor is delicate.  Beautifully delicate with a crisp, clean taste.  It has a very smooth flavor with a pleasant sweetness.  In the background there is a faint whisper of the aforementioned vegetative notes.  It doesn’t taste grassy, only lightly vegetable-like.  There is also a hint of butter to this cup, but it doesn’t leave your mouth feeling “coated” with butter like some green teas can.

Just before the end of the sip, the faintest note of sour is introduced to the palate.  It is a very refreshing note, it perks up the palate and keeps it from feeling too overwhelmed by sweet tones.  The astringency here is also quite refreshing – cleaning the palate and leaving it ready for another sip.

I love the soft presentation of this tea.  It doesn’t need to be an overwhelming flavor, instead, this tea offers an intriguing mystery that keeps me sipping.  I really have enjoyed this experience with In Nature!

Tasters Review:

This is incredibly smooth…I’m rather shocked at how smooth it is!  It’s more like a standard black tea than a stereotypical pu-erh!   This would be a nice go-to Pu-Erh.  For Pu-Erh fanatics tho, this may be on the lighter side!  But for me…I really like this!  If you aren’t a fan of the heavier pu-erh’s or the ones that will “put hair on your chest” – try this one!

Taster’s Review:

I’ve been reading all kinds of lovely reviews about teas from In Nature from my SororiTea Sister, Jennifer, but I haven’t yet tried any of them … until now!

This really is a fantastic black tea.  I mean, like FANTASTIC!

The flavor is remarkably smooth and rich.  It has almost a creamy consistency to it and a very toothsome quality.  I can taste notes of malt which lends itself to a fresh baked bread kind of characteristic.

This is truly one of the most delightful black teas I’ve yet to encounter.  It is so delicious it certainly doesn’t need enhancement (aka flavoring) … although it is quite nice with a drizzle of agave nectar and I found that the sweetener brought out some caramel-y notes that I didn’t notice before adding the agave nectar.  I wouldn’t add milk to this just because I’d be afraid it would spoil the amazing complexity to the cup and I find it to be just perfect without the milk… but I imagine it would also taste really lovely with it too.

This is about as perfect as a black tea can get!

Tasters Review:

These leaves are HUGE and look like your basic dried leaf from a tree…a light grey-ish green in color.

This doesn’t really have a scent to it prior to infusion.  Once I started infusing this it start to smell like a cross between asparagus and celery.  The aroma was subtle.  It’s a clear yet vibrant and brilliantly bright yellow in color.

The taste is mellow.  One sip sort of reminds me of a light floral taste and the next sip is a tad reminiscent of a celery or a non-bitter dandelion stem type taste.  Regardless if I am tasting more floral than veggie or more veggie than floral it is mild, mellow, and pleasant and fairly brothy.

I love that this is a new offering from In Nature and a different sort of flower-type tea/tisane.  It’s also said to be a slimming tea!  For a slimming tea it tastes quite pleasant due to it’s mild flavor.

Pretty good, indeed!
