Blueberry Black Tea from LeCharm. . . .

Some of you might know that my full time line of work is the wonderful world of RADIO. YEARS and YEARS ago when I was part of a trio that did a Saturday Night Request Show we used to refer to locating rare songs on record as ‘dumpster diving’. That might sound like a bad thing but it was never intended that way.

Recently when I was digging deep into my tea stash bins I came across this Blueberry Black Tea from LeCharm that is in a small pouch of sorts and that kind of made me think of locating those old gems during the request shows.

I guess I thought I had already reviewed this product long ago but I cannot locate it here at SororiTea Sisters so I figured now was as good time as any to feature this one here on the site!

Blueberry Black Tea from LeCharm. A VERY unique product. LeCharm’s product description of this tea is this…when someone wants to have something that tastes great and is convenient to drink at work, they may consider choosing a tea sachet. These only require hot or cold water. The preparation is very easy and only takes about three seconds. This is something that other healthy drinks or bagged teas do not offer. After preparing a tea that requires a tea bag, there will be a wet and messy tea bag to throw out. The tea sachet is simply opened up and dumped into the water where the ingredients will dissolve quickly and completely. These are easy to store and can fit into a purse or a drawer.

I totally agree with this. It’s great for work, for travel, for tiny house living, for camp, you name it!

Flavor-wise here were my findings…this powdery tea product provides a hint of the blueberry’s sourness while dancing within this robust black tea. It oddly tasted like blueberry flavored black tea…iced! I’m not sure HOW they did it but they DID! And I’m glad they did…and did it RIGHT! End result…delightful and convenient!

Stocking Stuffer Alert! Clarks Tea Cubes-Green Tea Mint. . . .

Instant tea has been one hot fade this year and I’m not going to lie, I’m intrigued by this concept.   I will always be a loose leaf tea girl at heart, but as the end of the year approaches and the holidays really start becoming more hustly and bustly (are those words?), I find myself grabbing more convenient options when it comes to my tea on the go.  Clarks Tea Cubes fits that bill perfectly.

Clarks Tea Cubes offers three flavors of instant tea cubes where you basically prep your water, plop in your tea cube and you are set. No mess and no accompanying tea bag to throw away-which is what Clarks Tea Cubes is all about. The convenient instant tea without anything to throw away ie tea bag or additional packaging.  I was instantly drawn to the green tea offering and couldn’t wait to see what this tea was all about.

So I prepped this cuppa up like I would any green tea blend.  Once the water was ready to go, I threw in two tea cubes and let the tea do its thing.  After a few minutes, the tea was ready and to my surprise, there was no sediment at the bottom of the cuppa like I expected. I did notice that there was sugar in the tea so I prepared myself for this blast of sweetness but I’m happy to report that did not happen.

Refreshing mint with a subtle green tea base was what I got. Sip after sip, I was happy and then I got about half way through the cuppa and gave my cup a swirl.  Sadly, that stirred up the sugar that must have been hiding towards the bottom and now the cuppa is insanely sweet and overpowering the rest of the cup.

I wish Clarks Tea Cubes offered a sugar free version of this tea because I really don’t feel like the tea needs the sugar. But this is such a great idea and I was super excited to try it.  Because of the sugar bit, I’ll be sending this tea off to another Sister to try, but I was incredibly happy and thankful to try it.  And I’m hoping one day, Clarks Tea Cubes will offer will offer a sugar free version so I can greedily drink this tea down as iced because I can see this tea being amazing in that fashion!

If you have a tea lover on your list this holiday season, these tea cubes would be a great stocking stuffer!

Sweet Peppermint in the Shape of a Heart from Tea Drops. . .

I got a sample of Sweet Peppermint from Tea Drops in some teamail from a friend.  Most of the tea I drink for fun or for reviews are loose leaf teas, with the occasional bagged tea as well.  I personally haven’t tried many instant teas, so at first I was a bit baffled with the right way to brew this sample from Tea Drops.  Simply put the tea-cake into hot water and stir. How easy is that?

Let me draw attention to the adorable fact that this Sweet Peppermint sample came pressed into the shape of a heart.  The cuteness of this tea-cake is the essential detail here, and is what makes these Tea Drops teas such cute gift ideas. They have other shapes like stars and flowers as well as the heart shape I tried.

Brewed this tea is mildly minty, very sugar and sweet, with some creamy vanilla tones.  The little compressed tea-cakes might be an easy solution to brewing tea on the go. Consider stashing a few of these in your desk at work for when the going gets tough and you only have a mug around for tea-brewing.

As a tea, this blend is okay.  The cuteness of the presentation is its true benefit and enjoyment. Definitely worth a try for the novelty of their super-cute tea-cakes.
