Taster’s Review:

I’ve been a fan of Indie Tea in Las Vegas since the very first time I saw them!  Not only because of their creative blends of tea bases and flavors but because of some of the secondary ingredients they use – herbs, for example, that you would normally find in regular teas and tisanes.  Another reason I LOVE their company is the artsy-vibe they incorporate into their tea packaging, logos, labels, and website!  They are CLEVER thru and thru – that is for sure!

When I first saw the tube of SMARTY PANTS – it made me smile!  It said “Put on your thinking cap SMARTY PANTS” and as you can see above use quite the combination of ingredients in this herbal.  I tend to not really reach for herbals teas but sometimes LIFE calls the shots for you, right!  I’m glad I listened, in this case, this is a mighty fine herbal offering from Indie Tea!

I would agree that it is an intelligent blend!  A hint of berry flattened by the Ginkgo and Basil, mostly but also the yin and the yang of the Ginger and Peppermint dance nicely to create their own flavor, too!  The Lemon Verbena really brings everything together nicely in the end.

This isn’t overly herb or leafy tasting.  The ginger and the peppermint are subtle and nicely done.  I can’t think of a more well rounded mesh of flavors for this herbal.  I don’t think I would change anything!

Taster’s Review:

Amore’ from The Persimmon Tree is a beautiful tea to look at and I find it to be so soothing, relaxing, and just calming. I always have a cup of tea beside me on the table when I fall asleep at night, even if I don’t finish it, I just like to know a cup is there. This tea will be a perfect bedside companion!

Delicate big white tea leaves that look all fluffy like clouds or a big squishy pillow, pretty roses, the soothing, breathe easy aroma of mint, what more could one ask for at night?

I have found that I do not love mint teas the way that I once did, yet my love for floral teas has developed more. I still like mint, but I appreciate the floral aspect of this tea more so than the mint aspect that I used to love. I feel the balance in this tea airs a bit more on the mint side but the floral does come through wonderfully as does the white base.

Everything about this tea tastes natural. I have done a lot of essential oil and herb blending in my days and I can say that I do not detect anything less than natural in this tea blend. Plus organic elements are used which I respect greatly!

I have taken some quotes from The Persimmon Tree’s “About Us” page located here and I could not agree more!

“Simply put, tea is one of life’s rewarding pleasures.  It makes us feel better by giving us a relaxing escape from life’s hectic pace.”

“A cup of tea can wake you up in the morning, compliment your afternoon, or take you away to a restful place in the evening. The tea-brewing ritual is one that can be therapeutic, enjoyable, social, and even sacred.”

I could not agree more especially when it comes to this tea, being so soothing, relaxing, calming. I think I like this even more than a chamomile tea for bedtime although I swear I do taste chamomile in here.

Tasters Review:

I’ve said it before and I will say it again (and again)…I’m VERY impressed with The Persimmon Tree Tea Company’s Selection and quality of flavors/products!

The dry aroma of their Amore Tea is mostly minty but also has a stronger Rose Aroma as a secondary scent.  The post infusion aroma is mostly Rose but a nice refreshing Mint Scent, too.

The color is a light brown with a little gray.  The taste is very nice, pretty, and pleasant!

The Rose and Mint are about 50/50 equal in flavor…this in itself amazes me! The white tea is noticeable as well.  This is a great uplifting and refreshing aftertaste!  I really like this!  Another winner from Persimmon Tree Tea Company!

Tasters Review:

You may have noticed over the past week or two SororiTEA Sisters have upped the amount of Holiday Related Tea Posts!  Well, indeed, we have!  The Holiday Season is HERE afterall!  To add to our ever-growing list of Holiday Teas or Seasonal Teas…Here is another one!  One from Octavia Tea and it’s called WINTER TEA.

Winter Tea smells like Mint Chocolate Chip before infusion…right as you open the package.  Post infusion smells like Vanilla-Chocolate-Mint-Rooibos.

Taste-wise is first and foremost Mint then Chocolate then Vanilla then Rooibos then spice then back to chocolate then Vanilla-Rooibos!  Yup!  It’s a great wintery rollercoaster of flavor folks!  And I wouldn’t have it any other way!  This has a lot happening here but everything follows suit with what you would expect based on the idea of this tisane and the ingredients!

This is a very good flavored Rooibos and a yummy seasonal cuppa!

Tasters Review:

Ginseng.  I don’t really have anything against it.  I know it’s good for you so I am all for that – But I am not real big on the SMELL of it so I guess that is why I have been putting off trying this one.

As this infuses it totally smells like Ginseng and it’s very herbally to the nose.

This doesn’t TASTE bad tho! Sure…it’s a little medicine-E tasting but it’s subtle.  The berries and mint REALLY help this one out! Without those two ingredients I don’t think I would care for it much.  But this is alright…MUCH better than I expected.   The aftertaste is pretty refreshing.

If you are like me and aren’t sure about Ginseng – I would suggest the HOT version because as it cools I could taste the Ginseng more.  I could pick up on the licorice more as it cooled, too.  When it’s hot the licorice really was not noticeable.
