Tasters Review:

I thought it was the perfect time to say THANKS AGAIN to Rachana Carter for sending me some of this specific Signature Blend of hers that she blended over at Adagio.

I found the more I drank this one…the more I enjoyed it!  And now I am out of my stash!  All good things really do come to an end, don’t they!?  Anyhow…here are some of my findings…

The aroma is very light but warming.  What I can smell of it is the Chestnut and a tad of caramel.  I’m not smelling much cinnamon – but I’m fine with that…as I think many teas tend to over-do it with the cinnamon.  This was a great happy-medium with black tea, spices, and other flavors.

It infuses to a pretty dark brown.

I really like the fact that the Black Tea taste is upfront and the flavors are on the assist.   The flavors play nice together.   They circle around in your mouth nicely, too.   I can taste the Chestnut and Caramel pretty much equally and the cinnamon acts as the caboose.

I like it! The cinnamon is JUST RIGHT…it’s really all you need.

A little spice is OH SO NICE this time of year!  This one had me grinning from Ear-To-Ear!

SororiTEA Sisters wish you Holiday Cheer!

Taster’s Review:

I know that this tea is no longer available, but I really like it so I want to share my thoughts about it with you.

Adagio Teas offers a rather unique and cool service to their customers.  Customers can design their own “Signature Blends” using Adagio’s teas.  I have tried several of these Signature Blends from various blenders, but my favorite blender thus far is Adagio customer Rachana Carter.

Now, I have to tell you, I am not a huge fan of Adagio’s black tea base.  I find it to be rather harsh and astringent.  That being said, I have found that when their flavored black teas are blended (like with the Signature Blends), the black tea doesn’t taste as harsh.  I don’t know why that is, I mean, it’s still the same black tea base.  So while I don’t really like many of Adagio Teas flavored teas, I have enjoyed quite a few of the Signature Blends.

This blend is very flavorful.  The black tea base is not harsh at all, in fact, I have a hard time believing that it is made with the same black tea base as the Adagio Teas flavored black teas.  It is very smooth tasting with barely a hint of astringency.  Very pleasant.

The flavoring of this one doesn’t really remind me so much of “toasted almond” as much as it reminds me of almond extract.  What it tastes like to me is a cookie that’s been flavored with almond extract… and that has been dunked in milk!

The combination of flavors is very nice.  The tea is sweet and creamy, with a pleasingly robust black tea background.  I am finding it to be exceptionally comforting on this chilly day.  Thank you, Rachana Carter, for all of your fantastic blends!

Tasters Review:

Rachana sent me a few of her blends to try a while back and this one was one of my favorites!

The Dry Leaf Smell is a creamy black flavored tea aroma and the smell while infusing smells of Cream, Black Tea, and a slight hint of Earl Grey.  The post infusion smell is a mild Earl Grey with a hint of vanilla or Cream.  The Wet Leaves Smell like Earl Grey sort of but also Lavender.  It’s Medium Brown in color – a very nice medium brown, indeed!

My first sip was FULL of smoothness right away! My 2nd sip was relaxing and still velvety on the tongue.  Mild Black Tea Taste and Mild Earl Grey…my first time around but I have had other attempts since – with this tea – that have been quite bold…either way it’s a great cup!
