Lemon Chiffon from The Love Tea Company. . .

I decided to make this tea into iced tea. The weather is warming up, and I’m dreaming of spring. A nice cold glass of lemon chiffon tea just screams spring to me.

This tea has rooibos, honeybush, lemon myrtle, lavender flowers, marigold petals, and lemon and pomegranate flavors. Doesn’t it just sound beautiful?

The tea is beautiful, and the smell is amazing. Nice and fruity, you just want to drink it! It’s a beautiful golden color, it kind of reminds me of a marigold to be honest. It has a very sweet and lemony flavor. It’s extremely refreshing. I don’t really taste any pomegranate flavor, but I definitely taste lemon, and a bit of the rooibos earthiness. They compliment each other very well. It’s sweet, but not too sweet. I added no sweetener and it’s perfect.

This tea is also caffeine free, so it would be perfect for an after dinner treat. I feel like it would also be nice to have before bed as lavender can really help with sleep. This is definitely a new favorite of mine, and it’s absolutely perfect for a refreshing drink on warmer days.

It’s sweet, healthy, caffeine free and delicious, what more can you ask for in a cup or glass of tea?

Blueberry Lemon Cake Rooibos from Curiositea. . . .

Fruity meets dessert meets caffeine free. Helloooo!

Growing up, my aunt used to make a lemon cake topped with blueberries & homemade whipped cream, so when I saw this tea I HADTOHAVEITRIGHTNOW. I brewed it for 5 minutes in boiled water and waited a few minutes to begin drinking it.

I like this tea. Upon first glance, you can see tiny blueberries and cute cornflowers amidst the barky-ness of the rooibos. I was able to taste all three named flavors in addition to the rooibos, although I will say they felt a bit unbalanced. Lemon in general can be such a strong flavor, so a little goes a long way. It was certainly the most prominent flavor, followed by the sweetness of the blueberry and coziness of the vanilla cake.

A few tablespoons of milk transformed my cup from a mellow lemon flavor to a well-rounded dessert tea. It was perfect for a late afternoon tea break that felt indulgent but didn’t break the calorie bank. I’ll certainly check out more of Curiositea’s other blends, as I really like the creativity of this one!

Lemon and Ginger from Harlow Tea Co.

Harlow Tea Co is one of my favorite tea companies that I discovered this year.  I just love the subtle yet solid flavors their tea yields.  They have a wonderful slogan for their shop.

Tea is for everyone, every time, and every place

I think I’ve tried about half of their offerings and there have only been a few that haven’t been my cuppa. Lemon and Ginger was one of those teas that I wasn’t sure I would like but have to say, this blend is hitting the spot.

lemonginger2Starring honeybush, crystallized ginger root, lemon balm, lemon peel, and lemongrass, this herbal unique take on a lemon and ginger blend gives you all the tea feels.  Warm rich notes of ginger that sooth while the citrus from the lemon gives the tea a tartness that contrasts nicely and also helps bring down the ginger bite.  There is also a subtle sweetness that the honeybush brings.

All in all this tea is simple yet on point. Lush creamy lemon, almost vanilla like honeybush notes with that subtle ginger kick.  Sweet, lightly spicy, with a creamy texture.  A wonderful adaption to a tea that may just become of those teas I reach for at night when I’m trying to settle down for the night.  This tea definitely gives you that cozy soul soothing feeling for sure!

Snickerdoodle from Simpson & Vail

I have never been a fan of red rooibos, although I tried one or two flavored ones that I liked simply because the flavoring covered up the base. I have been eager to try green rooibos to see if I would like it because I would love to find some caffeine-free options for evenings, but it has to be something I really enjoy, or why bother?

I was pretty excited to see that my first ever green rooibos was going to be in a flavored tea that celebrates and imitates one of my favorite cookies – Snickerdoodles.

Wow! Simpson and Vail knocked it out of the ballpark on this one! This is sweet, I guess from the blackberry leaves, and the cinnamon is forefront but not “cinnamon red hot candy” strong. It really tastes like you have just had a bite of a cookie with that cinnamon sugar dusting on the outside.

My daughter immediately said, “This tastes like Christmas!” And I am happy because I have found my evening cup of indulgence for this winter.

Way to go, Simpson and Vail!

When we were kids Jim came home from elementary school with some recipes his teacher had given him (perhaps for an upcoming bake sale). I’ll never forget the day our Mom made a batch of Snickerdoodle cookies. They were an instant favorite in our house! The recipe was lost for awhile and we would continually ask Mom for “those lovely cinnamon cookies”. You never saw four happier kids than when she found the recipe again.

If you are a cinnamon lover then this Rooibos blend is for you! When you open the bag, the aroma of cinnamon cookie happily greets you. The brewed cup is amber colored with the taste of fresh baked snickerdoodle cookies. The sweet cinnamon taste lingers deliciously on the tongue.

Ingredients: Organic Green Rooibos, organic cinnamon pieces, sweet blackberry leaf and flavoring.

#FanaticFriday: Peach Cheesecake Honeybush from 52Teas

I’m a huge fan of 52Teas. Always have been. So I thought I would take over SororiTea Sisters today and chat about a few new offerings from 52Teas!

Today I was just craving a dessert tea and I have to say this one hit the spot perfectly for me!

52Teas creates an amazing line of dessert teas that satisfy any sweet tooth. With the leaves starting to fall and almost at the end of September, I was craving a tea that had a fall touch and a dessert feel.

Peach Cheesecake Honeybush has a lovely gathering of fall like spices with a honeybush background. The tea itself has even a fall look with the lovely large chunks of peach and pops of lighter yellows on a bed of brown honeyhbush. Doesn’t get more fall than that!

Brewed with fresh boiled water and allowed to steep for 5 minutes, this tea had a lovely spiced peach aroma that made my mouth water. I couldn’t wait for the tea to finish steeping.

Once I was all set and the tea cooled for a moment , I took my first sip. Pops of vibrant fresh peaches spiced to perfection with cinnamon and a hint of ginger with a lush silky creamy finish.

This blend is sweet with just the right amount of spice to give the tea the much needed contrast. I’m crazy about this tea right now and have almost tanked out my taster size that I received in my monthly subscription box. This is one I’m going to have to think about getting a larger size.

Peach Cheesecake Honeybush is one of those perfect teas that has that subtle fall feel with those pops of vibrancy that give you all the tea feels!

When I was determining the tea menu for this month, I knew I wanted to do one last peach tea as the summer wanes. I also wanted to do a cream cheese type of tea because it’s been a little while since our last cream cheese offering. So I decided to bring these two flavors together to create a Peach Cheesecake Honeybush!

I started with organic honeybush – I thought that the natural nutty-like flavors of the honeybush would make a nice base for the flavors of peach and cheesecake. Then I added freeze-dried peach chunks and cinnamon and natural flavors to create a sublime, dessert-y treat. This blend is all organic, gluten-free, allergen-free and naturally caffeine-free – not to mention delicious!

Taster size is approximately 15g.

organic ingredients: honeybush, freeze-dried peaches, cinnamon, ginger root, calendula petals and natural flavors.
