Peppermint Leaves from Steven Smith Teamaker. . . .

I really love mint tea. Especially in the morning . Mint awakens my senses and makes me feel alive and awake with no caffeine.

This morning I tried this Steven Smith Teamaker peppermint tea and wow I am not disappointed at all.

It’s crisp, and smooth minty! It has a really deep mint flavor, it really sticks with you. I feel relaxed and energized. It’s definitely a tea to savor and enjoy. I’m having mine warm because it’s a blissfully cool morning, but I am imagining this as a super crisp, super refreshing iced tea on a hot day. Either way this is one of the best if not the best mint teas I’ve had.

This is absolutely the perfect tea for this beautiful Saturday morning. The birds are singing, it’s quiet and peaceful and all is right in the world. If you like mint tea, this is the tea for you. I’m so happy that I was introduced to this delicious, refreshing tea. And of course this is caffeine free so it’s safe to drink at any of the day.

This would be a great after lunch pick me up at work, or if you need a breath freshener after lunch. And peppermint tea helps with digestion, so it’s perfect after any meal!

Ooh Peppermint! – Harlow Tea Co.

When I received the Oo’ Peppermint Tea from Harlow Tea Co I first thought, “Oh man, this is going to be another one of those teas that extremely overpowered.” For any kind of peppermint tea the creator of said tea uses the oil from the peppermint plant and you can easily overpower any creation with just a tad over the amount of oil that was intended. But Harlow Tea didn’t depend on oil but instead the peppermint plant itself! Which, in fact, makes for a delightful flavor.

But this tea is not just peppermint leaf, its base is actually oolong tea (which gives meaning to the “Oo” in Oo’ Peppermint) with the accompanying flavors of tulsi leaf, almond, and vanilla bean. And I believe that this tea is blended to perfection for its splendid flavor is smooth and comforting. And that means a lot coming from a tea drinker such as myself for I usually try to stay away from vanilla. Paired with the almond makes the two most powerful flavors, the vanilla and the peppermint leaf, agree with each other to a point where you can have a cup that is too strong or too sweet.

Now on to the details about this tea. Harlow Tea Co. is an Etsy run shop and their prices are pretty fair indeed. For this particular cup it is $4 for 1 oz, $6.49 for 2 oz, and $10 for 3 oz. They also offer samples of all of their teas for a mere 50 cents. So if you are curious I would take advantage of their fair pricing.

All in all this will be a tea that I will keep stocked in my pantry. It will be a perfect tea to accompany me in illness or in health. I can’t wait to try more teas from this company for they have already won me over. And just as a side note, to all of you that are aware of/love Twinings Buttermint I would say to try this on for size.

See you for the next cuppa!

Kara

Leaf Type:  Oolong

Description

Do you love peppermint, well I hope so! This tea gives a kick of peppermint that lingers long after that last sip is taken! Oolong has long, pun intended, been known as an all around pleasing tea for those who may find green tea too bitter and black tea too strong. Love both, then oolong is a perfect combination of the two!

Oo’ Peppermint offers hints of almond and is balanced with pieces of vanilla bean. You may even see some vanilla bean seeds in your tea!

Trader Joe’s Peppermint Tea. . . .

I love peppermint tea. I love the way it both relaxes and uplifts me. I especially love having a cup when I’m having stuffy sinus issues. It just wakes me up, and makes me feel happy to start my day.

I was at Trader Joe’s yesterday, and I decided to try their peppermint tea. You cannot beat the price. I paid $1.79 for a box containing twenty tea bags. They’re practically giving it away!

I brewed myself a cup this morning, and knew I was going to love it as soon as the boiling water hit the tea bag. My whole kitchen smelled minty right away! It has a wonderful mint flavor, not too strong and not too weak. It’s definitely a very high quality peppermint tea, don’t let the low price scare you.

My tummy was a little upset after breakfast because i just had to have that last bite when I shouldn’t have, and so I had another cup of this tea, and it really did help settle my stomach, I feel much better now.

This is definitely a new favorite, and with an absolutely unbeatable price I see this being a staple in my tea cupboard.

I imagine this would make a really refreshing ice tea as well. I plan on making a big pitcher this summer to help cool off after a long hot day.

This tea is caffeine free, so it’s safe for those of us trying to watch out caffeine intake, and it’s also perfect for anytime of the day or evening!

If you have a Trader Joe’s near you, I can’t recommend trying this delicious, refreshing tea enough!

Dirty Girl Scout from The Necessiteas. . . . .

Every January, as eggnog season ends, my mom panics and buys like 6 cartons of the stuff. Now this would be excessive for a household of eggnog drinkers and yet it is not for a family…it’s all for me. She presents them to me as if they are a gift which is really nice but then I realize I have like two weeks to finish them off or they’ll expire and be thrown out. So, it’s not the healthiest plan but January becomes the month of eggnog latte experiments

This tea is my eggnog latte of the day. I love that the dry mix incorporates real pieces of Andes mints because it imparts a different sort of flavor when compared to the standard chocolate mint teas. This is creamy and sweet and deliciously milk chocolate with an incredible smooth mint flavor. No dark chocolate or harsh peppermint here. Add to that notes of Irish cream and buttery white chocolate and you have a winner. The black tea base gives the blend body so the drink remains decadent and rich. Top it all off with eggnog and milk and you have one really awesome dessert.

Description

We want to commemorate the solemn and depressing end of Girl Scout Cookie season with a tribute tea, the Dirty Girl Scout! We have put a twist on this treat by flavoring black tea with natural flavors of white chocolate and Irish cream then sprinkled a generous amount of organic peppermint into the blend and topped it off with real Andes mint pieces. If you want to get real dirty, add sweetener of choice and a splash of milk.

Mint Twist Tea from The Tea Can Company

The Tea Can Company is a company that is fairly new-to-me and I have to say I am VERY pleased with all of their teas that I have been able to sample so far. Today I would like to share with you Mint Twist Tea from The Tea Can Company which is part of their Candy Shop Collection.

Mint Twist Tea from The Tea Can Company is a delightful mix of Green Tea and tasty Peppermint that can be enjoyed year-round and is perfect for any mint lover. Ingredients include Green Tea with Peppermint Leaves and Peppermint Flavor. I’m not sure how The Tea Can Company pulled this off but Mint Twist Tea tasted minty but almost creamy, too! If you LOVE mint like I do – or even HALF A MUCH as I do – I think you will totally DIG this tea!

The green tea is a medium strength sweeter green paired with minty-goodness. It is refreshing, clean, minty, a bit creamy, and a pure delight!

I’m wondering if they would be able to come out with a black tea version. I would love to see that. However I am really LOVING the green tea offering, too! This was also VERY NICE iced! YUM!
