Tasters Review:

I love the look of this dry mix as well as the aroma both dry and post infusion! I think it’s just Beautiful!

I will saw when I first start getting into flavored teas I wasn’t NOT a fan of floral teas but they have grown on me.  I think way-back-when I was basing the floral taste on lavender and jasmine.  I think Rose is probably one of the ones I do enjoy most times.  Which is ironic because I am not much of a flower-person outside of tea either.  I mean yeah, I like them, appreciate them, and take photographs of them, but I am not one of those girlie-girls that just NEED flowers, ya know!?  This Cranberry Rose Tea from Praise Tea intrigued me!

As for Cranberries…I LOVE THEM!  Again – my history with cranberries is a bit “odd” since I was led to believe the only thing cranberries were used for was cranberry sauce.  I’m not really a fan of Cranberry Sauce but since have found all sorts of things to do with Cranberries.  My favorite is to put dried cranberries in salads!  Easy-enough, eh!?  I have found I really enjoy Cranberry-Flavored Tea…but the tea actually HAS to have cranberries IN it!  Lucky for me…Praise Tea’s Cranberry Rose DOES!  Nice, large, plump cranberries!  YUM!

The green tea has a very ‘clean’ green tea taste.  The Cranberry is the flavor that pops thru the most of the 3 flavors. Then there is the raspberry!  It comes in 2nd and seems to tone down the natural bitter cranberry flavor…they meet in the middle nicely.  The rose is hanging out in the background and gives it just enough floral hints that make everything come full circle.  This is very unique and creative and I think it’s just terrific!  I must say I really like the addition of the Raspberry as well!  Lovely!

Goji Berry Blue from Praise Tea

Product Description:

An antioxidant explosion of sencha green tea, gojiberries, blueberries, lemon grass, and pomegrante seeds.

Taster’s Review:

As I’ve professed before, I have somewhat of a ingrained response when it comes to Goji Berry.  That response is a hesitant recoil based upon the first time I tried a tea with Goji Berry.  The tea was incredibly tart – far too tart for me to enjoy it.  Since that time I have been less than enthused to try Goji Berry flavored teas.

And really, that’s an unfair response because since that time, the Goji Berry flavored teas have been quite delicious.  Like this one, for example.  This green tea is flavored with goji berries, blueberries, pomegranate and lemongrass.  And it’s absolutely amazing!

The fruit flavor is sweet with just a hint of tart.  The lemongrass adds a certain citrus-y element that accents the flavor of of the berries without overwhelming them.  There is a buttery note to the cup that I attribute to the green tea base as well as the lemongrass, it is a soft, creamy kind of note that doesn’t impart a strong buttery presence onto the palate – just a smooth sweetness that is quite delectable.

This tea is not what I would classify as “tart” even though there is a hint of tartness that hits the palate in the finish.  It is a pleasant note that sort of completes the overall taste profile.

While this would be absolutely amazing served over ice in the summer, I am finding it quite enjoyable as a hot beverage in the winter.   I found that a tiny bit of agave nectar brings out some of the sweeter qualities of the tea – especially the blueberry notes!

Taster’s Review:

This green tea blend is FABULOUS!  Cranberries aren’t really my favorite fruit, but I really love how they enhance this blend.  The flavor is sweet, a little tart, floral, and berry-licious!

The first thing you’ll notice when you open a package of this tea is how beautiful it is.  HUGE, whole pink rosebuds, little bits of dried raspberry and dried cranberry halves with long, elegant spears of Sencha green tea.  And it smells just as lovely as it looks!  Lightly floral, sweet, and fruity!

But, it really wouldn’t matter how beautiful the tea looks or smells if it didn’t taste good – this one DOES.  The green Sencha is fresh and has a light, creamy buttery taste to it.  The grassy tones are faint. There is no bitterness, and only a very slight astringency to this – it is very pleasant and relaxing to sip.

The added flavors of this tea are a little lighter than the green tea flavor, but all of the flavor components co-exist in perfect harmony.  The cranberry is lightly sweet with a nice, tart, cranberry taste that lingers long after the sip.  It’s quite delicious!

The raspberry offers a pleasing sweetness that curbs some of the tarty flavors of the cranberry just enough so that it isn’t pucker-y.  The rose flavor is very soft, but distinctive.  It adds a nice contrast to the berries.

This is a WINNER from Praise tea!

Tasters Review:

I know you shouldn’t judge a tea by it’s name but I at least get excited about a tea and trying a tea based on the name, sometimes, I’m not going to lie!  This is one of those teas!

The INTENSE Aroma of Garden of Eden Tea from Praise Tea is what hits  you as soon as you open the bag!  It’s mostly mango scented but you can tell there are other smells IN there too!  But that Mango really hit me!  Good for me – I adore mango!

The taste is great!  Although it tastes much different than it smells.  ALL the fruit flavors blend together nicely and nothing really steps in front of the other flavors by too much.

For the 2nd infusion I could taste the peach more tho!  Both infusions the black tea was bold and and flavors were wonderful!

Delicious!

A likeable, medium-bodied tea good both with and without the addition of milk.

Taster’s Review:

Something very odd about this tea when I first began to brew it and with my first sips… it was very much like a Darjeeling!  The tea leaf looks a bit like a Darjeeling, as does the brewed liquor, and the taste had a very Darjeeling-esque quality to it.  I even noted a bit of muscatel in the flavor.  The astringency was a bit lighter than in a typical Darjeeling, but, it was still quite similar to Darjeeling.

As the tea cooled slightly in my cup, I noticed that the tea began to take on more characteristics of a Nilgiri.  It developed a bolder flavor, and that which I tasted as muscatel before became more of a citrus-y note in my cup.  Like I said, it was very odd!

Anyways… my odd experience aside,  this is a very enjoyable cup.  It has a pleasant brisk flavor to it.  The citrus-y notes give it a clean, bright flavor.  As I mentioned previously, there is a light astringency to the cup which leaves my mouth feeling cleansed but it is not an overly drying sensation.  A very smooth, robust tea.

This tea would be perfect as an afternoon tea or a lighter option for a morning tea.  Although the company description suggests it with or without milk, I quite prefer this without milk.  It also has a natural sweetness to it and doesn’t need sweetener.

A delicious, well-rounded tea!
