Snow Fairy Tea From Della Terra Teas

originalTea Information:

Leaf Type:  White/Green Tea Blend

Where to Buy: Della Terra Teas

Tea Description:

A smooth, flavorful blend of vanilla and pineapples with Pai Mu Tan white tea.

Taster’s Review:

Eventho Snow Fairy Tea From Della Terra Teas is currently out of stock I thought it was still worth a mention.  Snow Fairy Tea From Della Terra Teas has the following ingredients within the loose leaf tea mixture…Pai Mu Tan White Tea, Chinese Green Tea, Vanilla Bits and flavor, Apple Bits, Pineapple Bits, and Red Peppercorns.

I love that this is a perfectly blended green tea and white tea blend.  The green tea to white tea ratio couldn’t be more even-steven!  The vanilla flavors are not overdone and contribute nicely to the overall flavor of this blended tea.  The red peppercorns have a subtle punch but they lay quiet and comfortable in the background.  The apple bits and pineapple bits are appreciated and very much welcome.  They put this blended tea over the edge with their sweet and tart notes.

Snow Fairy Tea From Della Terra Teas may be one of my favorites from this company!  I hope they get it back in stock at some point!

Taster’s Review:

Today’s tea I geeked out a bit – I have to admit – it’s Jackfruit Delight from Mahamosa.  Now let me tell you WHY I geeked out about Jackfruit Delight from Mahamosa.  There are several reasons.  The first being that it’s Jackfruit.  Jackfruit has been popular in certain countries for a while now but here in the US it’s gaining popularity and I try and find Jackfruit and Jackfruit flavored things whenever I can.  The 2nd reason I geeked out about Jackfruit Delight from Mahamosa is because it’s a Black and Green Tea Blend.  I’ve had a lot of black/green blended teas that have been pretty bad and this one is the complete opposite.  This black and green tea blend is super YUMMY!

Jackfruit Delight from Mahamosa smells like Jackfruit, green tea, and black tea.  Mission accomplished on aroma!  It ‘brews up’ a darker brown once in the cup.  The Jackfruit flavor is powerful followed by BOTH the green tea and black tea flavors.  My palate picked up about 60/40 green/black ratio.  I think this is a good ratio to have.  I have tried green/black blends before and all you can taste is a ‘stale’ green tea and very little to NO black tea.  This is NOT the case here with Jackfruit Delight from Mahamosa.  The green tea is nice and fresh and so is the black tea in this blend.  The black tea doesn’t over power the green tea or the flavor of the Jackfruit.  I give this tea two thumbs up on aroma, flavor, and blending success!

Taster’s Review:

Jubilee Tea From Fortnum & Mason smells like a maltier black tea with cinnamon undertones.  Very pleasant to the nose and the tongue because Jubilee Tea From Fortnum & Mason is one of those black tea blends you’ll remember for some time.  The black tea base is blended from teas from 3 regions…China, Ceylon, and India.  Not only does it have a bit of maltiness to the smell the taste follows suit.  The cinnamon I smelled I could also taste but not as a flavoring just a natural cinnamon from the blend of these 3 quality teas.

Jubilee Tea From Fortnum & Mason is an eye opener without being too strong or harsh but it does have some heft to it which makes it ideal for mornings or an afternoon pick-me-up!

Two thumbs up for Jubilee Tea From Fortnum & Mason in my book!  A nice, strong black tea!

Taster’s Review:

Nina’s Japon from Nina’s Paris can be found on Nina’s Tea Store online or at the international shop, too!  What I love about this offering is that it’s a black and green tea blend.  Having said that, tho, you can taste the green tea much more than the black tea.  The black tea ‘flavor’ is barely there.  The green tea, however, is pretty, well, ‘green tasting’.  It’s more of a flowery-flavored green tea taste than a juicer green.  The vanilla and caramel notes are lovely.  I almost mistakenly took the vanilla/caramel combo for an almond-type flavor.  But it contributed to the overall creaminess of the blend and it was delightful.

I enjoyed the 2nd infusion a bit more than the first because the green tea was a bit more subtle but the other flavors stepped up to the plate a little more than in the first infusion.  This was very nice hot, at room temperature, and cold, too!  I was able to get at least 6 infusions out of it.  The more I drank it the more I enjoyed it and appreciated the blend masters blending talents.  This is a nifty offering and a mighty fine blend!

Jasmine Coconut Green Tea from Whispering Pines Tea Company

Tea Type:
Rooibos/Green Tea Blend

Where To Buy:
Whispering Pines Tea Company

Product Description:

Jasmine Coconut Green Tea combines the warm fragrant smell of jasmine scented green tea and red rooibos with freshly toasted organic coconut flakes for a smooth tropical tea. Deliciously perfect for any time of the day! Best enjoyed hot.

Tasters Review:

Whispering Pines told me the green tea used in this blend is a Light Fujian Pouchong.

The ‘green’ tea leaves look different from leaf to leaf.  The coconut shavings are smaller than you might see in a bulk section or in a Bob’s Red Mill’s type bag, for example.  I can also see the rooibos.  At first glance –  it ALMOST looks like there COULD BE both green and regular rooibos in this mix!  It’s a bit hard to tell this last assumption about the Rooibos because there is so little of it in there…so…it could just be regular rooibos, I guess.

The green tea is a nice ‘even-steven’ type taste inbetween a slight grassy-green, slight sweet-green, slight vegetal-green. The Jasmine is subtle – thankfully! Just the right amount for my palate. The coconut is pretty amazing. It’s not like a stereotypical-tropical type coconut but a soothing, creamy-type instead. I do like this difference!

With the description and ingredients list I thought I would like this one fine-and-dandy but I actually like it even more than I thought I would! This is incredibly smooth. This is a nice sipping tea OR a nice gulping tea!

Whispering Pines…an Artisan of blended teas!  Nice!
