Fresh Green (Long Jin) from In Nature

Tea Information:

Leaf Type:  Green

Where to Buy:  In Nature

Company Description:

Long Jin tea is also known as Dragon Well and is often called the national drink of China. It is probably the most well known green tea produced in China.

When brewed, this green tea produces a yellow-green colour, giving off a distinct but subtle aroma with a great taste. It is incomparably better than the beverage produced from cheaper green tea bags.

Taster’s Review:

The flavor of this tea is so rich and pure.  It has a very clean, vegetative taste with no bitterness and a surprising amount of complexity – especially when one considers that this tea was brewed just 1 minute in a gaiwan!

The dry leaves are a bit smaller than I’m used to seeing when it comes to a Dragon Well.  As they unfurl, they reveal themselves to be tiny, young, WHOLE leaves that are just beautiful – almost breath-taking! – to behold.

The aroma is floral with grassy notes, and this translates into the flavor except that I wouldn’t really call the flavor grassy.  It is vegetative but not overwhelmingly so, and it’s more like a vegetable than a grass taste.  There are notes of flower, hints of fruit, and even a very subtle nutty quality.  The tea has a light astringency that gives a sense of continuity to the clean taste of the overall cup.

But the dominate flavor of this cup is the buttery taste of it.  No, it’s not like drinking a cup of melted butter, but the sweet, creamy butter taste of this tea is a fine compliment to the other notes of this pleasingly complex tea.

And this tea stands up to multiple infusions, too!  I managed five very flavorful infusions – each just as delicious as the one before it!  I am so thrilled that I had the opportunity to try this fine tea.

Tasters Review:

Last week we had our County Fair where I currently reside.  The County Fair is a HUGE this for our area here.  It also is a sign that fall is right around the corner…and shortly after fall is something I always DREAD…winter!  Blah!

I’m a fair-weather (minimum) type of person!  I don’t like being cold.  I would be perfectly fine if it never dropped below the low 70s.  Altho I prefer the upper 80s and lower 90s.  People say I live in the wrong hemisphere…I mean, I live in the snow belt for Pete’s Sake!  I can’t complain tho…it’s been a wonderful summer here!  But I can’t help but want to rewind and go back to spring and start the season all over again!

Well, lucky me, this tea just SCREAMS Spring!!!!! Bi Lo Chun from In Nature IS very clean, crisp, and sweet yet floral or is it floral yet sweet??? You be the judge! Regardless…this is a lovely green!

Jasmine Superior, Molin Hua Tea from In Nature

Tea Type: Green Tea

Where To Buy: In Nature

Product Description:

Jasmine Superior, Molin Hua

This a top quality flower (jasmine) tea created from only the finest leaves, buds and flowers picked early in the morning to ensure freshness of aroma and flavour.

The tea brews to a pale yellow colour and the beautifully subtle floral aroma invites you to drink.

Tasters Review:

I am usually hot and cold on Jasmine teas.  Most of them taste relatively the same….and/or are too Jasmine-E or leave that bitter floral aftertaste behind.  This one is different.

This is one of the most smooth Jasmine’s I have ever had.  It’s NOT Bitter at all…you do get a floral-feel but it’s very sweet and very smooth from start to finish and there is a sweet aftertaste.

It’s smooth, sweet, calming, nice, satisfying, and just puts a smile on my face!  I can safely say this is now one of my favorite over-all Jasmine Teas.  And surely lives up to it’s name…Jasmine Superior!  Truly Lovely!

In Nature AKA innteas.com continues to amaze me!

The Dry Leaf Scent of  the Fresh Green – Long Jin (High Grade Premium Green Tea) from In Nature is EXTREMELY Buttery.

The Post infusion Scent is still buttery, but a different kind of buttery…and still true to the green tea scent.

The color is pale but a pretty yellow.

The taste is The Purest of Pure! It’s extremely CLEAN and has a very nice/even Green Tea Taste…not bitter or grassy but is a delightful semi-sweet.

I really like this…one of the best “Dragon Wells” I have had so far!  Another WIN from In Nature!

Tasters Review:

Some teas just seem to take you to a different place!  Sweet blossoms is what this reminds me of at first sniff!  Just like in a tree and/or fruit orchard with the most PERFECT weather – both in temperature and breeze.  The clouds are fluffy and there is a glowing haze that makes it feel just like a dream.  You can help but spin around in circles (like when you were a little girl) as you stroll thru the rows and rows of blossoms and trees!

The taste is gentle, sweet, yet floral at times…this is a very PRETTY tea.  Towards the end of the sip you get a little bit of the woodsy taste but oh-so-slightly and the after taste is a tad nutty but pleasant.

This is a very laid back and go-with-the-flow type tea!  Quite enjoyable!
