Taster’s Review:

Divine Temple from Georgia Tea Company tastes like a fine wine. This tea is scrumptious and truly divine. I love the mixture of white tea and sencha which I can detect from all the other various teas within this really cool blend. Oh and yes as the description states, you want to drink this in before taking your first sip. The aroma is just to die for. This is the kind of blend that I could see myself being buried with, surrounding me, tucking me into my hand built casket. Sorry the review was turning a little dark there, but in all seriousness, whoever created this blend really hit the nail on the head here. They must surely be very proud of themselves, then again, this is a really hard tea to top.

So what is this tea anyway? Well as you can see, the ingredients list a whole array of yummy goodness, white teas, green teas, fruits of all types from berries to citrus. I can really taste the tropical fruits but the berry notes also jump up and dance for me now and then, especially the cherry. One may think that this tea is just too confused, the flavors won’t stand out, it will be a muddled mess. Nope, its damn tasty, that is what it is and there is some sort of backdrop here, that just screams white wine. This is surely a tea to be chilled and guzzled in the summer and this tea blend will absolutely be gracing my shelf in the kitchen that hosts my summer stash, but right now I am quite enjoying this tea warm, and when warm, the liquor of this tea, which does have a liquor note in it, is almost reminiscent of a warmed brandy.

You know, Georgia Tea Company is quickly becoming one of my favorite tea vendors, they ship quickly, they have good email follow up to let you know when your order is received, and shipped, and they offer some really intensely good tea blends. Their prices are more than fair, and their shipping is not bad at all at just 4.50 per order or free shipping for orders over 50.00 USD.
I have a healthy stash of their teas already to begin with but I can’t wait to try them all. I have yet to be let down from even one of their blends.

Taster’s Review:

Like a lot of tea drinkers I go through stages in what type of tea I crave. Lately I have been feeling put off by flavored teas, just wanting to enjoy unadulterated teas. After several failed attempts today at flavored teas I remembered my prized precious stash Georgia Tea Company teas. Snowflake from Georgia Tea Company is one of those flavored teas that I never tire of. As a matter of fact, I could select any of my Georgia Tea Company flavored teas and be in bliss. At this time I only have a few teas from them but I do intend to get more as I dwindle down my existing stash.

Snowflake has the perfect balance of nutty, vanilla, and coconut to give your mouth a buttery feel. It is also perfectly sweet without adding creamer, or sugar, but is also strong enough to support either, or both, if you are so inclined. I have it both ways depending on my mood but when I really want a decedent dessert treat I go with creamer and a little german rock sugar.

I love that Georgia Tea Company teas are heavily scented because not only does it add a lovely dimension to the sipping experience but it makes your home smell warm and welcoming as well. Put out the candles and put away your room spray, just steep some tea! While the tea is heavily scented it is not overly flavored. Georgia Tea Company does not smother their teas in artificial flavorings just to cover a bad base. I rather enjoy this simple yet flavorful black tea base used in this blend. Their green blends are even more amazing!

This tea reminds me of marzipan, or amaretto, actually it reminds me of a few different things but I do love the taste of this blend. I am quite picky when it comes to the use of coconut in teas. Often times the coconut tastes rancid, or stale. Not in this cup! This tastes fresh!

Do take the time to check out Georgia Tea Company’s website and browse through their selection of teas. They have a really cute Mother’s Day gift basket  on sale now with this tea blend included!

Taster’s Review:

Holy Almond Cookie! Almond Cookies from Georgia Tea Company has really made me fall in love! Georgia Tea Company – be put on notice, I will be making an order with you again soon!

I have never ordered from Georgia Tea Company before but considering this tea, which is amazing, and their more than fair prices, I am holding myself back from ordering more now!

Now I do adore almond cookies, when I get one served to me at an Asian restaurant I squeal. I always seek out a better almond cookie in stores, and I am always looking for the perfect almond cookie tea. I have found mostly tisanes that make me happy when it comes to this flavor. Yet now, this beautiful green tea, with the sweet yummy goodness of almond! You know, as for the coconut, I don’t really get it as coconut like I do in other teas. However it must play some form of a good supporting role to the other elements in this tea because this is one of the best almond cookies I have ever had! Err, umm, I mean almond cookie teas!

I can taste the almond, obviously, the green tea gives a wonderful flavor and a healthy base, and yet I swear I can taste the crispy crumbly cookie in here too! You know how good almond cookies have that buttery, crispy, crumbly texture? That is this tea! And if I had to describe this tea any other way I would go with vanilla cake batter.

I think that the green base is affording the tea some of that buttery quality. You know quite honestly, I don’t want to explain this tea anymore. Call me selfish but I just want to sip on this all day, in bliss, and I think I am going to go order more, I mean its so inexpensive its crazy!

IN LOVE with this tea!

Taster’s Review:

I had really high hopes for this chocolate flavored rooibos, unfortunately the rooibos in this kind of let me down.  Just a little.  That’s not to say it’s not a tasty tisane, it is.  But, I was hoping for MORE chocolate and less rooibos flavor, and this just didn’t deliver that.

But then, that’s the chocoholic in me.  I see the word chocolate, and I get happy.  I see the words BELGIAN chocolate and I get very happy.  And while this is very rich and deliciously chocolate-y … it’s just not quite as chocolate-y as I would like it to be.

However, as I continue to sip, this tisane starts to redeem itself.  I notice the chocolate-y notes – deep, dark chocolate! – becoming stronger while I notice less of the woody tones of the rooibos.

So, chocoholics, don’t despair!  Don’t give up on this tisane after the first sip or two!  Allow it time to cool slightly, and allow the flavors to develop.  It’s definitely worth it.  It might be a tad bit disappointing at the start, but, after a few sips, it becomes very decadent and chocolate-y!

Taster’s Review:

I love it when I come across a tea that is exactly what it is supposed to be.  Like this.  It is a straight-forward Yunnan.  No extra flavorings or fancy petals or anything else.  It is exactly what it is supposed to be:  a Yunnan.

And it has the flavors I expect from a Yunnan:  bold, spicy, with a black currant, wine-like finish.  It is delicious and flavorful.  The first thing I notice is the peppery flavor – it is a strong, foreground note with nothing to hide.  It’s out there.  There is a lovely sweetness to it too … reminding me a bit of a cinnamon-y syrup.  Sweet, yet spicy.

When I really focus on what I’m tasting, I notice an array of flavors:  woodsy, earthy, leather-y.  Fruit-like tones that taste of tangy currants.  The finish is lightly astringent.  The aftertaste is dry and sweet with a twinge of pepper.

A truly enjoyable cup of Yunnan that is not only delicious but very affordable!
