Tasters Review:

I guess you could say I am finicky or down right picky when it comes to Jasmine Tea.  I don’t want something that is what to strong that leaves a funky-lingering aftertaste like stale flowers and I don’t want something that tastes like hot water either.

Jasmine White Tea Classic from Shang Tea is one of the BEST Jasmine Flavored Teas I have ever had!

The Jasmine isn’t IN YOUR FACE and it doesn’t leave a weird aftertaste either!  The Jasmine is just the perfect amount for me and I LOVE the fact that they paired it with a White Tea!!!

This is really terrific!

Tasters Review:

Plain and Simple…this is a great white tea!  It’s Fresh, Pure, Pretty, Tasty, Smooth, and has somewhat of a floral aftertaste.

The aroma before, during, and after infusion does have a different nose to it…and by different I mean “it’s own” and it really is beautiful!

In a way it reminds me of a friend of mine…unique, sensitive, and fun to be around but she has a wild side, too!

If you are a White Fan Tea…try this one!  If you have tried White Teas before and have found them lacking…perhaps THIS is the White Tea for you…as it offers MORE than the average White Tea.

Taster’s Review:

This tea may be a little confusing to someone who may not know a lot about tea.  I know it confused me for a while, and I’d like to think that I know quite a bit about the subject.  It isn’t the tea itself, or the flavor of the tea that is perplexing, but, the wording used in the description provided about the tea.

What some may not know is that what we refer to as “black tea” here in the United States (and other parts of the world) is called “red tea” in China.  “Red tea” here in the United States is often another term used for the South African herb, rooibos.  And because the ingredients on this particular tea say “white tea” rather than “black” (or even “red”) tea, it can be a little confusing as to which tea we are actually dealing with here.

So, let me set it straight.  This is a black tea.  But I don’t recommend steeping it the same way you might steep a black tea.  I brewed this according to the package directions, which is bringing the water to a boil, allowing the water to cool for one minute, and then steeping the tea for 1 – 2 minutes (I steeped it for 2 and was quite happy with the results).

OK… now that we know what kind of tea I’m drinking, let me tell you, this really is GOOD.  The tangerine flavor is sweet, juicy and delicious without being overwhelming.  It doesn’t taste like it was over-done.  It has a lightness to it while still being a strong flavor.

The black tea is in good balance with the citrus fruit.  It has a clean, bright flavor that is brisk but not overwhelmingly bold.  It tastes… like a white black tea… if that makes sense!  You know how white tea is a little softer, more delicate, and crisper in flavor than oxidized tea?  This is a black tea that has those same white tea attributes.  Somewhat soft, delicate and crisp in taste.  It tastes like the offspring of a union between black and white teas.

This really is a fantastic tea, and one that I’d highly recommend to other tea enthusiasts.  It is great for a second infusion too.  I recommend steeping at the same temperature – boiling water that has cooled for 1 minute.  Add an extra minute onto the steeping time – and you’ll have a delightful cup of tea!

Taster’s Review:

I’ve tasted quite a few White Peony teas over the years.  And before I had developed a liking and an appreciative palate for White teas, I had falsely assumed that all White Peony teas are the same.  But, they aren’t!

This is one of the best White Peony teas that I’ve ever encountered.  The flavor is amazing!  While most white teas tend to be on the delicate side, I am finding this white tea to be amazingly flavorful!  While this is quite a bit more delicate than say, a black tea, it is extraordinarily flavorful when taking into consideration that this is a White Peony.

This tea is sweet and even has a creamy quality to it that is rather delightful.   The mouthfeel is really soft and smooth.  This texture reminds me of the sensation that a green Oolong might impart onto the palate, although it doesn’t linger quite as long as an Oolong.  There is a fresh, crisp taste to the tea that is vaguely reminiscent of a crunchy green apple.

Truly among the finest White Peony Teas available anywhere, this is one that I highly recommend to any tea afficionado!  Even for those tea lovers who think they do not care for white teas – I do believe that this one just might change your mind!  It is a MUST TRY!
